INVEST A TON OF MONEY IN NEW PAINTS JUST FOR THIS CLASS.
Brushes
Rounds:
Inexpensive, but good: Cheap Joe's Golden Fleece, 10, 12, 14
#16 Winsor Newton, Sceptre Gold II, #101
(Winsor Newton, Sceptre Gold brushes are a good substitute for sable
rounds. They are a mixture of sable and nylon.)
Flats:
1 inch "Dreamcatcher" from Cheap Joes (recommended) OR
another brand that has a blend of nylon and sable.
¾" or 5/8" synthetic nylon
1-1/2 in. or 2 inch squirrel
wash brush from Cheap Joes (very soft)
Palettes:
Cheap Joes' Original
Watercolor Palette (inexpensive, but functional)
Choose something with one or two large areas for mixing
Paper:
Cold Press ( I use 300 lb, but 140 will work)
Fabriano Artistico
Winsor Newton
Lanaquarelle
(Arches Watercolor, Cold Press is the favorite of most artists but
is not compatible with my painting technique...i.e. a lot of lifting.)

SUPPLY OF FABRIANO AND LANAQUARELLE 300# & KILIMANJARO (Cheap
Joes Brand) WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO PURCHASE
Amount:
Minimum of 1 full-sized sheet (a good idea to cut the large sheets
into 1/4 sheet-size)
Other
Supplies: small spray bottle, water containers, pencil, eraser,
small sponge, one or two boards on which to stretch paper (gator
board or ¼ in. plywood a little larger than your paper),
Kleenex, paper towels, sketch book. An extra stapler, hair dryer,
or light source will come in handy.
